Fees
The Australian Psychological Society recommended fee from 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2024, for a standard psychological consultation of 45-60 minutes, is $300.00 per session. This practice currently charges well below the recommended rate.
From July 1st 2023 – 30th June 2024, Fee – $230 (Medicare rebate is $136.35, meaning a gap of $93.65 with a valid MHCP). There is small fee increase each year, from July 1st.
(Please note: Issues involving Legal matters or requiring legal work and psychological assessments are charged at a higher rate)
Payment is required at the time of service.
Cancellation fees
If you are unable to attend an appointment please contact me as far in advance as possible. This enables time to be able to offer that appointment to another person and time for that person to organise their schedule so they may attend.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than one business evening + one business day’s notice will incur a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is equivalent to 50% of the full consultation fee.
Late cancellations on the day of the appointment and non-attendance without prior notification incur a fee equivalent to the full consultation fee.
Please note Medicare and Private Health Funds do not cover cancellation fees / non-attendance fees.
