Clinical Psychologist and a Member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society.

Experience
I’ve worked as a Psychologist since 2000 in both public and private sectors. Across thirteen to fourteen years in the government sector I worked in the areas of community health, mental health and forensic health. In a private capacity, I worked at ‘Headstart Intervention Services’, ‘Developing Minds Psychology and Education’ and The Flinders University of SA, where I was based at Noarlunga and worked as a Clinical Supervisor of PhD and Master of Clinical Psychology Students. I have also supervised General Psychologists for the purpose of Clinical Endorsement.

I have experience working with numerous issues including anxiety, depression, parent-child relationship issues, anger, rage, self-harm and complex and specific trauma.  I have also worked with those who perpetrate various types of abuse with the aim of  assisting them to live a pro-social life which thereby increases safety for those around them.

Particular interests include working with adolescents and helping parents navigate the challenges of being a parent, (particularly when their own ‘stuff’ from their background is blocking the kind of parent they ideally want to be).  I am also particularly keen to assist people with a history of childhood trauma and help those who struggle with anger and aggressive behaviour.
